I was going to write something useful but I got distracted by last.fm… it really is something! Previously I’d mentioned that I’d like to integrate their service into my blog – and now I’ve done it!
I’m amazed from both the user experience and the technical craft of their website; they’ve definately got the wow factor and some serious UI coding behind the scenes.

Well, sure you get the idea – I’ve added it to my charts page (see the link in the header menu).

As I enjoy my curry cooked two nights ago I have to sit with a not so enjoyable scoreline in the soccer – 2:2 England vs. Sweden. The curry is the only winner tonight…
Anyway, the recipe I present to you tonight is called “Anything Tikka Masala”. My sister provided me the recipe (via her mate Stu) and let me (demanded me) to cook it. Well, I was equal to the task!
I’ve since made it three more times and I’m pretty confident with the results. It’s a very very mild curry – you can always change the type or add some extra spices.
Ingredients:
- Olive oil
- 1 or 2 red onions
- 2-3 tsp. Tikka Masala paste – e.g. Thanks, Patak’s!
- 500g anything (salmon, turkey, chicken)
- A handful of any veggies you wish to put in, e.g. okra or mixed vegetables
- 1 400ml can of coconut cream (coconut milk is not tasty enough, plain yogurt is also an alternative but not recommended)
- 1 green lime
Instructions:
- Add some olive oil to your wok or large saucepan and fry up the diced onions
- When the onions are browned a bit, add the paste and stir well
- Add the meat or fish and cook on a high heat (chicken should take ~8 min, fish ~4 min)
- Add your veggies, fry for ~3 min
- Add the coconut cream, stir and bring to the boil
- Simmer for ~10 min or longer if possible
- Turn off the heat and add the juice of the lime, stir and serve with rice
Servings: 2-3
Enjoy!

In Search Of Sunrise 5 release parties
Tiësto will celebrate the launch of his new In Search Of Sunrise 5 mix compilation on June 3rd 2006, in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Almost two weeks later he will hit Brixton Academy in London on June 16th.
…In London this release party will be a special event for Tiësto as this is the first time that he will play Brixton academy and he will play a six hour solo set.
Wow my first London DJ gig and it’s Tiesto – hard to top that I say! A good solid performance, Tiesto relentless on the decks going an unbelievable six hours straight (two nights in a row I might add). Good job. Chris and I arrived in good time (just after 11am) and there was only a small queue at the door. Once inside we checked out the venue (seating upstairs and the main stage downstairs) – the academy was already banging with a good flowing crowd. We were just in time to see Tiesto come on at around 11.20pm, earlier than most DJs I reckon.
As expected, great lighting display, massive smoke injection (especially at the front, it was hard to see anything sometimes) but no extra frills. But that’s okay, Tiesto was in good spirit just like you see him on the videos – working the decks effortlessly and having a good time performing in front of a packed dance floor.
A good night/morning out. That’s all I have to say – everything else is a blur.
Cost:
- Tickets: £26 + £3.87 (fee) + £1.50 (postage) = £31
- Bottle of water from the bar: £2.35, not always chilled!
- Tiesto sweatband: £5 (Orange with white Nyana logo)
- Bacon baguette: £2.65 (from Waterloo station)
